There's a saying here in Utah: "If you don't like the weather, wait five minutes." Our weather is as varied as our terrain. Some of our mountains receive over 500 inches of snow in the winter.
In the summer, parts of the state can reach temperatures well over 100°F! Spring and fall bring every type of weather imaginable. My advice? Be prepared for anything!
Here it is April 7 and in Ogden Utah we are getting snowed on not just alittle but inches and I bet feet in the mountains and we are wearing coats in the spring!! Mother Nature I am not in love with you anymore we will be breaking up at least until June. Sincerely Yours APRIL
Snow has been falling along the Wasatch Front from Salt Lake City northward into Ogden and Logan. In fact, 2 to 4 inches has fallen in Cache Valley and several inches along the Benches near Bountiful. One report from Tony Grove (east of Logan) has 16 inches of snowfall, while 10 inches has fallen on Ben Lomond Peak. This storm will produce snow and rain periodically through Saturday night. Precipitation totals of nearly an inch to over 2 inches is expected along the Wasatch Front and 1 to 2 feet of snow in the Wasatch and Uinta Mountains. The mountains of Southern Utah will receive 2 to 4 feet of snow and valley areas of Kane, Washington, Garfield and San Juan Counties will see 1 to 2 and 3/4 inches of rain. This is a significant spring storm and will cause problems in the mountain passes and some flooding in the gullies and small streams and urban areas. Improving weather by Sunday.
