The government shutdown could affect your purchase closing

Do you have a purchase closing in the next 30-60 days? The government shutdown could affect your purchase closing and here's how:

Every single loan that is closed today is required to have a 4506T Request for tax transcripts from the IRS, this is an income failsafe to double check current income with what the IRS has on file to cross check for income fraud or unreported business income or writeoffs.

Guess what? The government shutdown could affect your purchase closing because the people that process these requests work for....wait for it.......the federal gov't with the IRS

Here's what you can do to be proactive if you are a real estate agent, loan officer or MR or MRS homebuyer. Call your loan officer and have him order your 4506T request ASAP.  It might already be too late if it has not been ordered yet but at least you can see the delay in your closing coming instead of being blindsided by it.
