Baltimore has wonderful restaurants and here is another of our favorites...Sabatino's in Little Italy! We went with friends after an evening at the BSO..

There is not a lot of late night dining in Baltimore but this is one... Sabatino's in Little Italy!

Our food was beautiful, fresh, hot and delicious.

The first dish on the left is VEAL FRANCESE PARMIGIANA ...Tender medallions of veal lightly breaded, pan browned, topped with homemade tomato sauce and melted mozzarella cheese... recommended by our waitress and enjoyed by all.

The plate on the right is TLH 's all time favorite...spaghetti with a white veal sauce loaded with mushrooms and fresh peas and.. quite tasty!

Below is the famous BOOKMAKER SALAD..a large garden salad accented with shrimp, Genoa Salami, provolone cheese and a hard boiled egg, served with Sabatino's House Dressing also wonderful to dip the fresh Italian bread. Now that is a good meal.

Our waitress Suzie was a delight, very efficient and professional. She liked posing for the camera.Then I found out this was only her third week at Sabatino's. I guess she is a natural for this position.

Look at that antipasta salad. Looks like a great place to eat. Being Italian, of course, I reserve the opinion until the taste...but it certainly looks great. Wish we had smell-a-AR!! :)

Evelyn, Each time we order , we have to specify that it is not a red sauce. I think it may be Benito...but we get it right by ordering 'white veal'.

AH, Sabatino's. Home of good food and hot politics. Spiro Agnew's favorite restaurant in Baltimore's Little Italy. Agnew resigned as 39th Vice-President of the United States after he was accused of accepting bribes as Governor of Maryland. He pleaded nolo contendere for falsifying a federal tax return, and went straight to Little Italy and Sabatino's. If only the walls at Sabby's could talk.
