I've been in the real estate industry since 1989, have watched the business evolve and technology take over. When I began, I was ahead of the curve, online and technology savvy. Today, I sometimes feel as though I'm running in place to keep up with the rapid changes. Back when real estate first came online, pre-Realtor.com, pre-Blogging and smart phones, I was first in line for online leads because I knew the technoglogy and that gave me a huge advantage over the competition. Granted the technological tools are proliferating and it is hard to keep up, but just as it was a huge advantage in the 1990's it is still a huge advantage to know the latest.... which today is stamping everything with a unique QR (quick read) code. And why not, it's easy and it's free!
Business cards, For Sale signs, brochures should all have a QR code for prospects to grab with a swipe of their smartphone. That will make you and your listings accessable and user friendly in today's market.
Microsoft has a video about QR codes which they call Tag
I use QR codes on my business cards and for my clients' property brochures with links to unique listings. You should too. -Emily
