Statistics and the comedy involved

By
Commercial Real Estate Agent

Earlier today I wrote a blog about blogging.......the comedy being that I wasn't looking for comments.  And I ended up with more than ever.  In reference to others who were curious about their statistics and why they weren't getting more comments I thought it would be fun to take a closer look at my own.

The comedy to me is the amount of clicks that I get in regards to the comments........I think this is awesome!!!  The best part is my favorite/most helpful blog entitled QSI, has gotten little to no recognition versus the other more meaningless junk that I've come up with.

Thank you AR for making looking at my blogging statistics fun!!!

I looked at mine for the first time just the other day and was amazed as well.  Intesting that what we think is important does sometimes get overlooked.  As for your QSi blog, many may not even know what you mean.... that may be one reason why!

Yes, I looked at my stats not long ago, and just like you, the silly ones got the most comments i.e. How To Clean a Dishwasher!

That is interesting ... makes me want to know why someone would read and not bother to post a comment, even to say Nice Post.

Thanks for the reminder, and Nice Post!

Ryan,  This is an interesting post ( or are you fooling with us again ? ) .  Seems like the posts  with a lighter topic do quite well.  Not sure what that says about us .  Hmmmm

Thank you

I agree with Bill that lighthearted posts seem to do very well in comparison to content-heavy material.  In a tough market, we all know what the challenges are.  It's sometimes a relief to talk about something other than the nuts-and-bolts of this business.

Bill - maybe I am fooling people, this one is getting quite a bit of commentary as well. Although I was shooting for people reading my others with this one!!!

Dale - on your profile (my home) on the left side is a (statistics) key.  Take a look there and you should be able to check out your blog statistics.

I wanted to make this post tied with the most comments you've gotten so far!

Ryan - Which posts draw comments continues to amaze me. I did two yesterday, one on a technical problem I was having and another on someone who left active rain because all the comments were annoying to her. Both drew heavy traffic. I, too, will post things I'm sure will generate buzz, but they don't. I just keep plugging away.
