Why You Need to Hire a Property Management Professional More Than Ever!

Everything you think you know about placing and managing a tenant is probably enough to get you in a heap of trouble. For all you realtors who think you are helping your clients out by finding them a tenant to “hold” their property until the market turns around, think again. In the last 4 years I have learned EVERY day that there is something I didn't know. Tenants don't think twice about running to a legal aid attorney no matter how delinquent they've been. It has cost property owners a bundle. If you don’t file that Three Day Notice in a timely way; if you don’t write up the lease to include clauses that property managers have crafted over decades of mistakes; if you don’t handle the tenant in just the “right way”; you’ll be spending time in Small Claims Court, or worse, Superior Court. Did I mention Mold? Grow Houses? Pit bulls? Please! Do yourself a favor. Just like you advise your prospective sellers to hire a professional agent, I am advising you to hire a professional property manager to rent that property out. Take the referral fee instead.

Being a property owners, and having tenants, I would recommend a property manager for those without the knowledge, and to stay out of trouble.
