If I only had a brain. That's what the straw man sang on his way to see the Wizard. Our world places so much emphasis on brain power, 
thinking and elevating the human spirit. The Kingdom of God is different. The Kingdom of Heaven is different. We are to think with our hearts not our brains. That statement drives humanists absolutely crazy. Science backs it up if you study the human body and the way we're made.
Medical science has discovered in the last few decades that the human heart has many cells that are exactly like our neural cells in our brains. Thus, our hearts which have the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead living within it, are thinking and sending signals non-stop to our brains. There is a reason that our very being is made up of spirit (heart), soul (mind) and body. Everywhere this is stated in the Word, the actual word spirit comes first. It's not body, soul and spirit or soul, spirit and body... Everytime something is mentioned first in God's Word it's because it's most important. We are to be led by our spirits and not our souls.
I just needed to say that to say this. Just this morning the Spirit of the Lord spoke through me to someone else and I realized it was corporate, meaning it's for the whole body of Christ or at least those within my sphere of influence. This is what the word was:
"I am promoting those who promote me!" Simple isn't it? It's so simple it's easily missed. God will promote you if you are willing to promote Him. Does that mean a job promotion? Maybe. Does it mean financially? Again maybe. I believe it's more like in the spirit. When you are feeling down about something, an event that has happened to drag you down, a struggle with a relationship or just anything you want to apply to this. Is the world news bringing you down? Are your children wayward and not honoring you? Has illness come upon you or a family member? Whatever the situation... honor God, promote Him, tell someone what He's done in your life.... that's all it takes and you will see Him lift you up to another level of faith, a new level of spiritual awareness, a new level of responsibility and/or a new level of prosperity in all ways.
Lord, I Bless Your Holy name now. I promote what You have done for me and my family. You've taken us out of darkness and brought us into the light of Your Son Jesus. You took a broken spirit and made it whole. You took a man who was no good morally, physically and mentally and restored me to a new condition of perfect health, Spirit, soul and body. I Bless your Holy name. I ask that you send your seraphim angels to light the fires of restoration to all who are reading this, I ask that you send your cherabim angels to stir the wind around all who are reading this and awaken any angels of restoration and awakening for them now in Jesus' mighty name. Lord I just ask you to PROMOTE anyone who reads this and puts it into action now in Jesus' name. Amen. And I add one addendum and ask that you protect all our men fighting for our freedom in Jesus' name.
I know I wrote about this some time back but it bears repeating. George Washington was a man of God. He didn't do anything without first praying about it. He had difficulty getting his ill equipped soldiers to stand and fight at times. Once he threatened them that if they turned to run in battle, that he himself would shoot them. Even that didn't help and in one battle when they all turned and ran he rode his horse to the top of a ridge overlooking the King's army that was about to overun them and just sat on his horse in defiance out of his frustration. He was a tall man and sat very high on his horse who was also a big specimen from all reports. A very large target. The British saw the general and they all took their best shot at him. Not one bullet struck him or his horse as he defiantly stood his ground. The British were so awed by his bravery that they all took off their hats and knelt in appreciation for it. There were many reports of British soldiers spreading the word that Washington could not be killed. They honored his extrarordinary bravery. George Washington was promoted by the Lord. He will do the same for you and fortunately, He's not asking you to stand in the line of actual gunfire!
