I don't think peopple are asking too much...

Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Mountain West Real Estate, Inc.

Lately I have been contacted and met numerous people that have been completely unsatisfied by their representation, and called me after they had "fired" their agent. Good for me, yes. I just can not even remotely understand why any agent, especially in this day and age would not want to work for their clients. I recently had one woman at open houses vent to me for 20 minutes about her current agent. I have heard horror stories from so many... poeple that have never loooked up a listing for them, never marketed their home, wouldn't find them a map??, didn't negotiate on their behalf, wouldn't request their earnest monies... on and on and on. It's hard to believe that anyone that would practice in that manor would continue to work all that long. We JUST have to do our jobs. Our jobs as Licensed Professional Real Estate Agents/ Brokers/ REALTOR'S is to work in our client's best interest, 100% of the time from beginning to end, honestly and ethically, nothing less. For any one out there, if you don't want to, I would be more than happy to! I am always here to help a determined Buyer and/or Seller!

the problem with our profession is that there is almost no barrier to get in, anyone that fails at landscaping, or car washing, can get a license... that is why there are sooooo many morons out there that don't have a clue about being professional.

Thanks goodness I live in an area where I don't see these types of actions being done to customers/clients, by real estate agents.

Hopefully you are not setting yourself up to inherit clients that can't be pleased. I hear a lot of moaning these days too but sometimes during the conversation I leave thinking I am glad I am not their agent. There are a lot of slackers in our profession but there are a lot of clients with unrealistic expectations as well. Have a great day.

Thinking outside the box

There are "Slime Balls" in every profession. I've heard more complaints about Attorneys then Realtors.

With that said, We still have our share of unethical agents among us and that don't only hurt their clients, they hurt other Realtors. We DON'T police our own profession as we should.
