The 2012 Masters Golf Tournament
I never paid a lot of attention to golf until I had the opportunity to attend the Masters Tournament at Augusta National in 2001. That year I got to be there for all four days, using a friend's badge (one of those lucky patrons) that was ill and unable to attend. Tickets to the Masters Tournament are difficult to come by and can be very expensive....as I learned from jealous friends! Every year since I've had to settle for watching on television.
Now, for the first time in 47 years, the general public can apply to purchase a one-day ticket to the 2012 Masters Tournament. The tickets are very limited and will be selected at random. You must apply online by June 30, 2011 for your chance to purchase a maximum of 2 tickets for $75 each.
Congratulations to Charl Schwartzel for winning the 2011 Masters Tournament! He finished with a score of -14, with birdies on the last four holes. It is the first major championship win for the 26 year-old from South Africa. I found a YouTube video of the jacket ceremony, but there was no sound and it was preceded by a commercial, so I thought you might enjoy this one that is filled with breathtaking images from August National......
