I have an idea!

I actually have tons of them, but this one just hit me in a big way. I always think of ways to market my business but don't want to hand out the same things everyone else does. Everyone likes to get candy or gift baskets, but my pocket book doesn't allow for a ton of that. I also tried the post card thing, which was a flop in my area. So, as I sit and start recording my future appointments- I am thinking to myself....SELF. Everyone could use a monthly planner and what a great gift idea for this Christmas. What a great way to market, knowing they will use this all year round. And what a great way to get rid of all your business pens that are sitting around- they will need something to write in the planner with!

I have found a site that is very reasonable and depending on how many gifts you want to buy- you can't beat the prices. U.S Diary sells them and they are way cheaper than the Office Supply stores, and they are personalized.

I am ordering my supply soon- I hope it drums up more business! and makes my current customers know that I appreciate the business they send me!  Maybe include special notes on certain months to show more of a personalization and how much you care!

Hopefully this will help others out as well! It is always a tough thing to think of ideas for gifts that also include business marketing.

That is a nice gift idea. I have always tried to do lots of different things. One thing that everyone liked - I put american flags in the ground in front of everyone's house in my farm neighborhood. They all like to find out what other homes in the neighborhood sold for, so I had a "call to action" to visit my website to find this info out.

Great idea, Michele.  Especially the part about the personalized messages.  You could write in a local event which has a consistent date.  Like our arts festival here in Grand Rapids, always on the first weekend in June.

Michele,

That is a good idea.  Im going to check that out.  Thank you for sharing.

Another one just as little everyday thank you gift is emery boards that have your business name on them.  I know the girls at the title comps love getting these.  As far as the guys are concerned its not an emery board, its a fishing hook sharpener.  They are light weight and can be put in the loan packages being sent back or in your mailouts for marketing.

I have a friend that is a Private Investigator and he does this. Everybody he meets gets one--pocket size.

So, I just got hit with the "DUH!" bat!!!

I like the magnetic calendars from Vistaprint.com.  I include them in all the loan packages I send back until approx April.  I have been sending them back since November.
