What Else Are You Paying With Your Tax Bill?

By

Your tax bill includes taxes on the assessed value of your property, but did you ever wonder what else your tax bill includes?  In addition to the 1% that you pay on the "assessed value," you also will pay various assessments and fees.  To find out the breakdown of those fees, you can look at your tax bill that you get in the mail.  You can also go online to the San Diego County Treasurer's website to view the breakdown.

The quickest way to view the breakdown is to go to the website, and click on the "Click Here to Pay Your Property Taxes" link (no, you won't get stuck paying them right then).  Then enter your property address or Assessor Parcel Number (APN) and click on the "Begin Search" button.  Click on your property and it will bring up the full bill, along with all of the different assessments that are included in your tax bill.
