CBS will feature Robert Hicks, the author of "The Widow of the South" on the program SUNDAY MORNING, April 17th. The segment is titled Why the Civil War Matters to Southerners, and was filmed on several southern cities, including Franklin at the Carnton home and the Carter house.
For those of us who have lived in the Franklin area all of our lives, it's good to see an additional interest in the area to preserve history for future generations. Thanks to great writers like Robert Hicks, more people will learn a little more and maybe visit Franklin. A lot of people like it so much, they never leave.
