Well, I really enjoyed reading this post to Active Rain blogs lately.  I thought I would re-blog it so others too, could enjoy reading as well.

Save the date! Sunday, May 1st, local farms from Petaluma to Healdsburg will be opening their barnyard doors to the public! This is your chance to get a behind-the-scenes peek at the source of Sonoma County's finest food and agriculture.

Have you ever wanted to know what it would be like to live on a farm? Have you ever seen newly born barnyard babies? This is a great chance to share the country life with the kids and meet the farmers who bring food to your table.

Here's how this works. Visit the official web site and map out a personalized tour from a selection of dozens of farms. Purchase a ticket for $25.00 per VEHICLE (hint, take the LARGEST vehicle and invite some friends!). Then enjoy samples of local honeys, learn about the art of beekeeping, watch the antics of newborns and taste some award winning foods.

This event sold out last year, so you might want to act fast. May 1st ... May Day. What a great day for Farm Trails' Blossoms, Bees and Barnyard Babies.
