It is no secret that hundreds of homeowners had to sell their house or lost their house to foreclosure or the house they were renting went into foreclosure.
Now you're looking for a rental and the search begins..You check Craigs List everyday, you contact a Realtor to assist you with finding the right house for rent, you drive around looking for "For Rent" signs. It becomes very clear that Rental Market is HOT..HOT..HOT By the time you inquire about the house, it's already been rented.
You fill out an application, give an application fee so your credit could be checked only to find out you didn't get the house..So what is the procedure.
There are hundreds of families looking for rentals and only so many available for rent and you must understand that owners are going to choose the Best Fit Tenants for them. That does not mean you're not good people or not worthy of renting their house, it simply means they found a family who were better suited for their investment.
Before you even begin to look for a rental, below are some documents you should get ready;
-Family Resume..Just describing who will be living in the house
-Income- Include two weeks of paystubs, letter of recommendation for your manager, people you work with etc
-Letter explaining why you should be the ones they choose as their tenants
-Pictures of your current home showing the condition
Having low credit score does not prevent you from renting a house, landlords would like to make sure their house will be kept clean and orderly and that you're able to make rent payments.
