Tarrytown NY 10591 - Rotary Club "Rubber Ducky Derby" - $1,000 Grand Prize

More than 1,000 rubber duckies will be entered into Andres Brook at Patriots Park, but only one will emerge victorious  when the Rotary Club of the Tarrytowns holds its third annual Rubber Ducky Derby Day on April 30.

The event , which will take place during the YMCA Health Kids Day, gives people the opportunity to "adopt" rubber ducks to race down Andres Brook. There are five heats with as many as 300 ducks per heat.The winner of each heat will then square off for a final race, with the grand prize winner receiving a $1,000 American Express gift card.

The Tarrytown Fire Department will standby to provide water powered assistance to any ducks straggling along.

The Rotary held a kick-off event for the derby at the Westchester Marriott on Wednesday.
