Beginning in January 2010 I implemented Pay It Forward - $150 donation to charity with every closing.
Following the successful short sale closing of 3311 E Baltimore Street, Baltimore MD I am happy to report that the following donations have been or will be made:
- $50 to Our Place DC - This charity was brought to my attention by my seller clients. The goal of this organization is to help formerly incarcerated women make a smooth transition back into society. Our Place helps women remain drug and alcohol free, obtain decent housing and jobs, gain access to education, secure resources for their children, and maintain physical and emotional health.
- $50 to Walk MS - Walk MS raises awareness for multiple sclerosis and helps raise funds for research and treatment of this unpredictable disease.
- $50 to Jump Rope for Heart - Jump Rope for Heart benefits the American Heart Association. My children participate each year and it encourages them to focus on doing things for the benefit of others.
This charitable donation is rapidly becoming one of my favorite parts of the real estate transaction. I am excited to be able to make these donations and I look forward to making many more donations in the coming months (and years).
