Daydreams of a real estate agent
You ever think about what you would do if you weren't a real estate agent? Well, of course the last couple years have been harder then most, and there is always that daydream of just taking off and doing something else for a living.
So it got me thinkin..Cindy? what would you do if you couldn't help people buy and sell their homes? If you have met me, you know I'm fairly laid back (shhh...my kids & MIL may say differently when I give them those "eye's"), and I love the beach, the water, the warm sand between my toes. Hmmm, what could I do that can incorporate this love?
I know my hubby always wants to open up his own bar and restaurant...but for this post (since it's my blog) I can open up my own bar and grill! Yep..look how thin I've gotten since I started hittin the beach..people have actually said my legs look like sticks..cool!. Hey..notice my tan? Ok..maybe watching people getting drunk and having a blast while I'm working might not be to much fun...and being inside all day..not my cup of tea..or rum.
Or I could join a band that sings on a boat in Key West...now how cool is this? You work and make money singing on a boat? What could be better? I will have to say if I sang..they would have to pass those pitchers of margaritas around way before I start!
How about I just chill on a beach in St. John..selling beach gear. I bet I would even get free room and board in one of those camp houses on the beach! Hmm. I might get tired of stepping on iquanas in the dark when I have to use that public bathroom in the middle of the night..that could be creepy..so maybe not.
Ok..forget the beach for a minute here..I could open up my own flower shop! I've always wanted to do this. I used to have sorta one years ago and did my own dry flowers..when they were big doing the juried artisan shows. Having my own place would be fun! Hmmmm..then again, I'd have to always be working like an actual 9-5 er...sitting inside again all day.
Oh..I know, I know! I can be the new Ann Landers!!! I mean, she was the first sorta blogger. I can have my own column about real estate things, I can also do this while sitting on a boat...on a beach, in a restaurant or maybe..maybe in my own flower shop.!
Whenever I daydream about what I would do if I wasn't a real estate agent, I always come back to those things that I love about being one. I don't have to sit in an office all day, I get to meet new people all the time. Every home, every transaction is always different because of the personalities of the people.
Yes, there are times when we have bad days..weeks, but so does every job. I mean, I would have to risk sunburn at the beach, thorns in my flower shop, obnoxious drunks in my bar and grill right? So the only thing left is that column...well hell, that can be something I strive for WHILE being a real estate agent! I'm already blogging!
Now.. if I win lotto.....well, this is a different story!!
