We all wait patiently to see if the long awaited beginning of the home buying season will begin on schedule. Traditionally those looking to make a move seem to all shop once tax season has ended and Easter Arrives. We are currently on schedule as the market has come to a halt up until recently.
The signs of a hot home buying season have appeared. Phones are ringing and online searches have once again started up. This could be a great sign for both home buyers and home owners. Home buyers will be more confident knowing that there is a demand for homes. This will let them know that others also feel safe and confident that this is a time to buy a home.
Home owners really need homes to begin to sell. The only way to stop prices from plummeting is to have the new listings absorbed quickly. The faster homes sell the higher prices will be. These higher prices will allow many home owners to stay in their homes or at least avoid losing them.
We are currently in the chicken or the egg dilemma. Most people think that the real estate market will only recover once people go back to work. I feel that the only way people will go back to work is if homes begin selling. Consumer confidence is most related to confidence that our homes have value. A stable housing market will once again get people out buying and spending!
