Lime for Headaches

By

Lime is the newest "staple" in my kitchen.

Some months ago here on Active Rain, and I don't remember where, I read the lime remedy for headaches and commented that I would have to try it, but hopefully not soon.

As a sufferer of headaches, the question is not if but when you will get the next headache and how bad will it be? So I always take note of something that could ease the pain.

So, I've had a couple headaches and I think that lime doeshelp to ease the pain. And there is not a cure - only time has ever worked for me.... along with darkness and quiet and a soft pillow that smells nice and kisses help, but my husband isn't always around for that ....

Anyway, to use the lime I cut it in a slice and cut it in half and made it a wedge like you'd decorate a mixed drink with. Then I put the lime, squeeze gently if necessary, on my forehead and temples and along my hairline, including the back of my neck...

Repeat as needed.

It is a little sticky mess, but not to worry a shower and shampoo will remedy that! It really does seem to help some - so I will try to keep them on hand and find some other uses for them as well!

Hi Marilyn,

Never heard of that!

Certainly better to try natural remedies than synthetic ones...

I always thought that the limes caused my headaches.  Especially when they were hanging on the side of several margaritta glasses.

Peter, Hope it helps!

Dennis, yes, within reason that is! Went to Redi Med once and got a shot - that didn't help. Went to the hospital once - they put me on oxygen for a bit and sent me home - that didn't help.

Phil, I still use Excedrin Migraine and Aleve ... and sometimes Advil Migraine.

Bill, Multiple uses!

James, It could help..

Barbara, I do still use Excedrin Migraine and Aleve ... and sometimes Advil Migraine.

Kathy, Nothing to lose by trying it!

Ted, That wasn't the one, but thank you! I enjoyed it and may reblog it!

Jim, Yes they can both cause and ease headache pain!

Rebecca, It helps some, but like I said there is no miracle pain relief!

Headaches are seriously no joke - they can cause a lot of pain....

Good post! And what do you think about homoeopathy? As I know it advocates to remove the cause of the headache. It reminds that treating disease directly and leaving the cause of the disease unattended, can never cure a disease. I recommend you to pay attention on pharmacy sydney https://kennedyspharmacy.com.au/category/homeopathy/ offers, I think this will be good decision.
