Are you a Realtor/service provider who does not know how to communicate?

Are you a Realtor or a service providor of some sort who does not communicate like you should to others?  I know that I have guility of this in the past.  Have you?  Do not be afraid of being honest in here for honesty is very cleansing.

There are a couple of things that I have learned from women and being in business since 1987.

1/ listen to others and care about what the person is saying

I am not sure why there are so many who do not know how to listen to others.  Either they have not been taught how to listen or they just do not care about listening to others.  Or they want to run you  over with their words and what is on their mind or be selfish about them self and not even care about what you are trying to get across.  Anyone have this experience?

2/  communicate with that person after listening to them.

we need to be willing as well as able to get our point across quickly and effectively

3/  when some one calls me, I like to call them back asap as well as email them.

why are there so many folks out there who never others back when they get a call.  My experiece as of lately has been a carpet cleaner as well as a duct cleaning company.  Then, a week later, I get a call that they want to do the job.  A little late.

This has been brought to you by David over at who really wants to help others get leads and more business during this depression of ours.  Hey, lets call it what it is.  It is much worse that a recession so if it is not a recession what else could it be? We will just have to be a lot more assertive or agressive if we our piece of the pie right?  Let us all work together to help each other when we know of someone who needs help.

Listening is one of the biggest things we do as Realtors.  If you don't pay attention to what your client wants they will find someone who will listen.  Thanks for the post.

Phil, you are so so correct.  I have learned to stop, look, listen and then react  but always to communicate as my cardinal rule for if I do not know how to communicate or do not communicate then why should folks use my service?

Erica, it is not that tough to do but so many folks can be real lazy at communicating.  Thank you.

Howard and Susan, thank you and I hope helped you.

Thank you Ronald and Donald.

Thank you Arleen and Robert as well.
