A good quote, Donna. You should illuminate on it, develop it further. There is so much that I prefer about a soft market. What makes it a good market or a tough market? Who benefits? Buyers? Sellers? Just some food for thought.

And don't you know it, There are alot of agents having to work now.  What I dont understand is all the emails from realtors about the houses that they are selling.

I'm not sure that I agree with your first premise, that the market is not soft.  My local market, as well as the entire State of Michigan, is experiencing an extremely soft market.

Thank you for your comment, you are so right. Realtors who  work full time realize what it takes. In the real estate so  many part timers flooded are market, thinking real estate was an easy field. .It is  not easy being a real estate agent, and takes a lot of work. Its time for the market to be returned to those who work it. thank you for your comment.

sincerly,

Donna Miller

Soft markets just weed out the poor agents.  I mean poor as in not good at their job not financialy poor.  So many agents got spoiled by a strong market.  In 2003/2004 if you could sign your name and put a sign up you were a top producer.  Time to go back to the basics and work again.

Yep it's a thinning of the herd...and it's necessary!!! I am glad to see it as I was really getting sick and tired of everyone and their grandma having a real estate license!!!!!! I remember calling up an agent a year or two ago trying to schedule a showing and he had to put the phone down cause he was at his full time job!!!!! (Selling tires!!!!!!!!!!!!) Good riddance to the folks who are not in it for the long haul like we are. Personally it has been a real pleasure lately dealing with the realtors I meet now as they are the true professionals!!!!
