National Eggs Benedict Day..........
….......This holiday is always celebrated on April 16th, gee and I am just finding this out????? What’s up with that?
National Eggs Benedict Day is a day to enjoy eggs with hollandaise sauce, Canadian bacon and English muffins. Make that a double portion for me please!
A lot of people have never had Eggs Benedict. Don’t worry, I have eaten enough for both of us. If you're upper crust, you most likely have enjoyed Eggs Benedict a number of times, and perhaps, on a regular basis.
However, many people (regular folk) have never tried Eggs Benedict. Go ahead and do a survey. See how many of your friends can even tell you how it’s made, or what's in it. Or, ask them what hollandaise sauce is. It really isn’t hard to make just be very, very careful or you could have scrambled eggs.
Celebrate today by eating Eggs Benedict. If it's your first time, I highly suggest you go to a restaurant where they know from experience how to properly make it.
Well, I could have written about this also being National Stress Awareness Day but I would have stressed out because my stomach was empty!!
I was surprised too. Oh well it is just another way to celebrate ham and eggs......
I think I am one of those that has never had it before... Just might have to now!
Hi Don...
I'm not a big fan of eggs in general but I have eaten Eggs Benedict and it's pretty good considering it's eggs on top of eggs!
Guess any reason is a good reason to celebrate, good choice going with eggs benedict instead of stress :)
I can't say that I have had these before, mayube that is why I am stressed!
Don, I for one love Eggs Benedict. There is a great restaurant here called Stella's....they make great eggs benedict...in fact, may have to go there after church for brunch tomorrow!
Don I am not sure where you are coming up with these crazy holiday but the photos are entertaining:)
Well, now it's the day after Eggs Benedict Day but this sounds pretty good considering I haven't had breakfast yet. Unfortunately all I have on hand is Special K.
Howdy and morning to you Don
Don, I sure did not know there was an actual National Eggs Benedict Day! and I even missed it. Oh will there is always next year to take part in it.
Have a good one
Dale in New Hampshire
Now how did I miss this??? We have the Country Music Half Marathon on the 30th and I was planning to indulge in something shameless like that for brunch on Sunday when it's over.
Hi Don - Eggscellent post. Your cholesterol numbers must be very low to eat eggs Benedict.
