The REO business

By
Real Estate Agent with Island tradition Properties

I am a very young and ambitious real estate agent who is looking to get into the REO side of things with Real Estate.  I have been doing a lot, and I mean a lot of research on this and find there is an enormous amount of information.  No, I haven't been in real estate for very long but I am more than ready to jump to the top quickly.  I have researched BPO organizations and Asset Management companies and have submitted my information to a few of them to hopefully get my foot in the door. I know I am probably getting in late, but to me since my career is just starting, I am doing it right away.  I have blogged about this a little bit before and was told that most financial institutions already have their particular agents in place for REO's but I'm not going to give up.

If anyone out there is mainly doing REO transactions on regular basis and is in with some of these Asset management companies. PLEASE give a young realtor some guidance.  I dont want to be just a regular realtor and sit and wait for the phone to ring.  Especially with gas going up and up and up, we can't afford to take buyers all over the place in hopes a few months from now they might put a contract on a property.  So please, a little insight would be more than helpful to get me on the right path.  It might not mean much now, but I believe in paying it forward.  Any help that comes my way will definetly be repaid ten fold.
