Ali'i Chang, the founder of Ali'i Kula Lavender Farm, has passed away recently.  The Chinese-Hawaiian farmer and visionary created a lavender wonderland on 13 acres in Kula starting with a single lavender plant in 2001.  He passed away in his sleep at home, at the age of 69.  Instead of a memorial service, a celebration of life will be held on July 9th at the farm, at the First Annual Sustainable Aloha Summer Festival.

Georgina - another fantastic newsletter! We don't have much vacant land here, Pinellas County is actually the most populated county in the state AND it is a peninsula. With all that water, everybody wants to be on the coast!
