I've seen a lot of people come and go in my professional career. This one is by far the hardest
I want to thank Jonathan for giving me a chance to be by his side for the last 8 years. It's been a great ride. Extremely challenging at times, very satisfying at others. Through it all I've learned so much about myself and about business in general. I'm a much better person for the experience.
Jon doesn't know the difference between a play action pass and a corner blitz, but he's smart enough to know that if you get 108,000 people in one place, the tailgating before that game is going to be worth showing up for. See you in Ann Arbor Jon!
You have never in your life met a more picky restaurant patron......or a better tipper if you get it right
I still get giddy thinking about the first time we ever walked out of a business dealing with a five figure check and a six figure contract. The guy can sell..........he gets that from his Dad.
One of the best stories I have is the night we went to a club in Los Angeles and saw Hugh Hefner, Leonardo DiCaprio and Jamie Foxx. A friend of mine introduced me to Leo.....Jon could have gotten the intro as well, but he was out dancing with Hugh's dates......all 6 of them. It was at the time that Leo and Jamie Foxx were up for Oscars for 'The Aviator' and 'Ray'. Later that night, Kanye West performed live about 2 feet from Jon and me. We didn't know he would be there, heck, at that point I didn't even know who he was. Somehow Jon lost his really nice belt............truth be told, I'm not even sure this happened, it could have been a dream.........
If I could do it over again, I'd make Jon the best man in my wedding. I'm sure during his speech he would get the names right of my wife's brothers, and he wouldn't (inexplicably) make up where he is from in his intro. As it stands he was one of my groomsmen and someone I will consider my friend until the day I die.
Do not play poker with this guy......there are a group of CEOs in Seattle who could vouch for this claim better than anyone else and have first hand experience of the repercussions.
I can't thank my college roomates Tyson and Lance (twins) enough for introducing me to Jonathan. I love all of you like brothers!
I'll miss working with you Jon. I hope we get a chance to do it again at some point in the future. I have no doubt your new venture will be successful and don't worry, I'll hold down the fort here while you knock it out of the park there (that's a baseball term, don't worry, Tyson can explain it to you)
