Last week my brother invited me to eat at a new restaurant he started waiting tables at. At first I was reluctant because well there are a lot of great places to eat in Charlotte. Michael Arthur's Restaurant is a family owned and operated steak house. The restaurant is centrally located in The Fountains at Ardrey Kell off of Tom Short.
I had a business lunch planned for this day and took along one of my favorite lenders.Johnatan Romero with New American Mortgage joined me for this first experience with Michael Anthony's. We were introduced to the owners, chef and other staff while we were dining. Chef David makes all dishes using local seasonal produce, fresh fish and beef. I was even told that all of the meat is hand cut in house.
The waitress was incredible and we waited for nothing. The service was nothing short of exceptional from the time we entered until we left.
Now I know you are really only interested in the food so here is our review:
Johnatan had the Grilled Chicken Ceasar Salad. He absolutely loved it. I thought he was going to have a hard time finishing it, but he did manage to do so. He kept saying, "I can't believe that a salad actually filled me up like it did".
I have long been a fan of fetticine alfredo. There are not many restaurants that prepare it like I prefer, but I decided that I would give that a try. I added the grilled chicken which made it a complete meal.
Lastly, my brother a 25 year old college student also joined us for lunch. The chef prepared him a meal of grilled swordfish skewers with pineapple salsa and steamed veggies. "WOW"! We all ate a skewer and even Johnatan who is not a fish fan truly loved the swordfish.
Given this was a lunch meeting we did not get to enjoy the large selection of wine. This is most definitely a restaurant I will be visiting at night with my husband for a "Date Night"! Who would like to join us?
Have you seen something new in the Charlotte metro area or just opened a business yourself? I would love to come in and check it out. Team Ludlow Realty is always looking to give back where we live.
