What Can Make Me Feel This Way...

Little did I realize or even ever expect when I heard The Temptations sing these words in the last century as I learned to dance by watching American Bandstand that their music would come to mind every time I experienced something like this moment working in this new landscape of real estate. I guess the answer is you would say "what can make me feel this way?"  My town... I'm talkin about my town... Santa Fe. After all, we do get sunshine even on a cloudy day.  And when it's cold outside, I even have the snow tips on the mountains in the month of May. Now if you want to feel like I feel every day and have sunshine on a cloudy day... remember blue skies and views like this are only made in Santa Fe.

This view plus the horse property home on five glorious acres will be on the market soon.  It will be something special to sing about so stay tuned.

Emily, I surely remember rushing home from school to watch American Bandstand on television.  Besides the music acts... we all probably had our favorite dancers on the show... either couples or individuals.  The main one that sticks out to me I believe was a girl named Pat Moliteri.  A really bouncy dancer.

Anyway... I am glad Sante Fe "makes you feel that way."  It is so great when the place you live in feels like a place you'd want to visit if you didn't live there.  "suggested"             Take care...

Karen, aha! Another American Bandstand alumni! I love it. I often have music playing when I write so things like this happen. I remember American Bandstand more than school! Thank you for the suggest.

Gay, let me know when you're coming. We have an awesome Opera Season and beyond remarkable events on our Plaza this summer for Folk Art, Spanish Art and Indian markets.

Mona, I like that... New Mexico is a state of mind, perhaps we could be the 51st in that category.

Marie, soon Santa Fe will be stuck in your head too... when are you coming?

Emily, my husband and I drove to Medina Ohio (near Cleveland) yesterday. Driving through some of the cities we were able to pick up some great oldies stations and the music had me singing most of the way! Yep. Loved those bandstand days!

Emily--Not only are you a great real estate agent, but you could be the tour guide for Sante Fe.  Blue skies, sunshine, warm temps.  Wow!  And I remember American Bandstand, too.

Connie, welcome to my car... it is often a toss up between oldies and reggae!

Joan, we are practically neighbors given your location is mile high Denver!

Alexandra & Ron, I'm tempting you to return to Santa Fe!

George, thank you! Good lyrics are always inspriring.

Mary, thank you for your kind words. I first experienced Santa Fe in 1968 while enroute to CA. I was fortunate to finally get it and return here to make my home in the early 1990's. Living here is like being on vacation everyday.

I love that song — though I feel extremely old since you mentioned "What Can Make Me Feel That Way" was in the last century!  Eeeeek!

Just watched another glorious sunset here in Santa Fe and am ever amazed by the true beauty every, single day.

Santa Fe is such a welcome change from the overcast and often cloudy skies back East.

Great post — you're selling me on Santa Fe once again :).

Emily, looks like you are singing from the mountain tops. Keep singing and keep smiling. If it feels good, do it.
