A demonstration as to why a 3rd party professional home inspection is such an important part of the home buying (and selling) process.  This is flat out ridiculous though!

Things You Shouldn't Find In A Home Inspection #1

Inspection

Inspection

I guess this was an after thought when this home was built several years ago.

It is just me or would this scare anybody into making sure they have a home inspection?

It amazes me the short cuts you see some builders make when they are building homes......How in the world could this have passed inspection?

Just another reason to always have that INSPECTION.....you just never know what you might find!

I want to urge having an inspection, whichever side I am representing.  EVen on my listing, I really want the buyer to have their own inspection.  They nearly always find something that I wouldn't see, or have any way to know about.  Then, I have seen things that even an inspector missed, and that really helps protect us when we have the listing if the buyer's own chosen inspector misses something. And to give credit, some things might be inside a wall that there is no way anyone might find mold or former unknown smoke damage until, and unless, someone maybe tears out the walls to renovate, for example.
