Opportunity

Increasing water rates and decreasing water availability in Southern California creates a wonderful opportunity.  The opportunity to expand our thoughts on what types of flora to display in our yards that are much less dependant on supplemental watering.  I have several Aeoniums in my yard that I planted several years ago and have never watered them.  The only moisture that they receive is the limited amount of rainfall that we get in San Marcos, which is about 15 inches per year.
Every challenge presents a new opportunity.

Carl & Ceil - Thanks for checking in. I think most people know San Marcos TX but not San Marcos CA.  San Marcos CA is located in North San Diego County, about 15 miles east of Oceanside.

Dale - Very nice of you to stop by. Aeoniums are really easy to start as well.  Just snap off a piece and plant it!

Hi Steve!

What a great way to look at a life...  "Every challenge presents a new opportunity".  No matter what challenge comes our way, there is always an opportunity to turn it around for the better.

Great photo!  You are so good with lighting in your photo's...  the shadow of the plant on the rock gives the picture more dimension.  Thanks for sharing your talent with us!

Russel-  Awesome idea.  I think I'll go home and sprinkle the leaves in the yard to see how many I can grow.
