Whose keeping up with what we spend for business expenses? Our accountant helps us with taxes, and balancing but who is helping us cut costs. Are u keeping up with your business expenses?...If not take that time to review them you would be surprised at the pennies you can save that adds up to thousands of dollars of savings. I have people on a regular basis that asked me ways to save on their business expenses...number one thing I tell them is Utilites you will be surprised at the rate these companies are charging just to have a good internet and Phone service, take the time to analyze your bills and call these companies and ask them if you can have a cheapers rate. Analyze your carrier are they treating you right or is it stress...Dont we have enough to deal with I rather pay for service than inconv..Call ask for a promo if you get a NO shop around times are getting harder and every penny saved is a penny worth holding on to.  Next look at how much your paying for your employee benefits their are independent health insurance brokers that have cheaper rates infact if you belong to certain associations you can discounts on your group benefits..same quality of care with less fees, also how much are you paying for car insurance? too much shop around......heres a another secret why are you paying a 200 cellphone bill chop the minutes only use the phone when your our out and about or get the free incoming call plan and or get a landline...some say im not home enough but all those calls you make while being at home would actually save you more money....

Just a thought.. tell me how you saved.....

Rachel - I save by working from home and not driving to work.  The cost of gas has gone through the roof.  Plus by working from home, I am finding that I am more productive.  Just about every time I go to work, it seems that someone wants to sit and talk to you, thus the end result is - nothing gets done at work.

Rachel:

Thanks for a very timely subject.  Many people only look at revenue, not at expenses.  I have a pretty lean budget myself...like $45 for phone

You're right, Rachel.  There are so many easy ways to save money in business! Utilities, internet and phone are just a few. Also, don't forget shopping around for best prices on office supplies!

Rachel,

This is something that I have to consider!  My cell phone bill is outrageous while we are also paying for a home phone...  I am not used to having a home phone, so for me it is just habbit to use my cell to make a call. Even while I am sitting right next to the home phone! lol
