How to Create A Fancy Collage Using Picnik
A couple of weeks ago, I shared instructions on how to use Picnik to create a collage. You can view it here.
In this blog, we're going to get fancy. Why go all fancy? For a variety of reasons:
- We can use "fancy" collages for flyers, postcards, websites, etc...
- They dress up just about anything and will help capture the viewer
- They stand out
Here are a couple of examples:
This is a flyer I created for an agent caravan for the home I staged two weeks ago in Decatur, GA.

This is an example of a postcard that I could easily print out and mail. Or... I could add to my website.

Instructions:
Step 1 - Go to Picnik.com.
Step 2 - On the home page, you'll see Collages. It looks like this:

When you hover over collage, Fancy collage will appear directly under Collage. Click on Fancy Collage.
Step 3 - A variety of templates will appear on the left, select one. Note: Most do not require a Pro account. However, there are a few that do. A pro-member is $24.95/year and in my opinion, is well worth it.

Step 4 - When you've chosen the template, you'll see a variety of options available. It looks like this:

Step 5 - After choosing your template, it will appear on the right.
Step 6 - Insert your photo (bottom left). Once done, click on "customize" in the right hand corner. This is where you will edit the text that appears:

Step 7 - Click on the pre-loaded text and in the top left hand corner, you'll see that it contains "Daniel & Sophia" (in this example). Change the text. Next, click on the text "are engaged" and change.
Step 8 - You can further customize by adding frames, etc.
If there are any questions, please feel free to leave a comment and/or send me an email.
Have fun!
Kathy
