I know there is great optimism in the luxury home market for Litchfield County, and this could certainly be the reason for such an increase in available homes for sale.

Washington, CT is one of the favored locations for that quintessential Connecticut country retreat for those looking for a luxury second home in Litchfield County. New York City drive time is approximately 90 minutes, making it a very convenient location. Another wonderful draw to Washington, CT is Lake Waramaug, located just off Route 202 in the New Preston section of Washington.

Dagny, I happen to agree, Washington is a beautiful town!

Tammy, we move from "under deposit", which is a time when the seller and buyer agree to the sale, but are not locked into a contract, to "pending", which is after the contracts are signed. There is usually 2-3 weeks between these two. Inspections are done, etc, during the under deposit period of time.
