APRIL 19, 2011~

I am guilty for one to take time off away from the RAIN and selling homes as well as the family! This trip I decided to go to Rome~ No, I didn't go with the man in my life! No, I didn't go with siblings.... I actually went with another flight attendant and we make it a point that we go somewhere once a year together just to get away, to eat and shop! So, United started flying to Rome out of Washington DC back in 2008 I believe... Since then>> I said, "I am going to Rome!" Don't get me wrong, I actually went to Rome two other times while I was living in Germany years ago.... but as you get older, you see your destinations in a new light! Not to mention the food is eaten with memory and not just eat to live, but NOW live to eat! <oh... I have NO REGRETS!>

So, here are my top (4) places to tour while in Rome~

Vatican~ Fontana di Trevi~ Colosseo~ and Spanish Steps............

This has been a super fun trip with the only thing done in one week was

EATING

SHOPPING

AND TAKING PHOTOS!!! How could it get better than that???? Well, I guess maybe added Romance, but that was NOT part of this FUN DAY in ROME!!! Wish you were all here>>>>>>>>>>

Emily~ shame on you girly! you should TAG along!!! I am sure they don't mind... GO GO GO! ;) It is an experience you will cherish a lifetime. The culture is invigorating... It takes you in to that time. I should have stopped for a pic, but there were construction workers (literally) pounding with their hands NEW cobblestones into the street... AGH! I want to go back just to capture that picture...

Debbie~ you are too cute... Just have to decide where you want to go and then GO> ;) I made a New Years Resolution in 2010 and continued onto 2011. I will go to two destinations a year that I have never been and that I need to enjoy a bit more in case it was a short visit... So far, so good ;) Last year was Greece~ and back to Beijing for shopping and food. This year is Dubai in Sept. and back to Rome and Shangahi~ for more shopping, food and pix... ;)

I had lived overseas for over 11 years and one of my most favorite places was Rome. I was living in Tunisia at the time and for kids going to high school they went to the American School in Rome and I took my daughter to get her set up there and than was back several other times regarding school issues. On free time I wore out a pair of Dr. Scholls walking about. Rome is a fascinating place and yes, oh gracious the food.
