Homes For Sale in Boulder - Chautauqua Park

Royal Arch Hike

One of my favorite reasons to live in Boulder, Colorado is the many enjoyable hikes just steps away.  Chautauqua Park is one of the many nearby treasures.  Located just minutes from downtown Boulder, right off Baseline, you can quickly escape your day to day and be inspired by breathtaking views of the Flatirons and, eventually, the city of Boulder.

The park is great for hikers of all levels and is also canine friendly!  In fact, I think my golden retriever, Riley, has learned how to bark the words Chautauqua Park!  The trails are well kept and have plenty of resting points along the way so you can take a breather or enjoy a snack.

The park dates back to 1898 and is part of the Chautauqua Historic Society.  At the base of the park there is a wonderful visitor center that provides you with information about all the trails and the importance of Chautauqua Boulder.  Chautauqua Park also offers lodging for visitors or the Boulderite who wants a brief escape without actually leaving town! Lodging is along the base of the park, nestled among some of Boulders finest homes.  Surprisingly, the lodging is very affordable, from $100 to $281 per night.  Money well spent!

Home for sale in Boulder closest to Chautauqua Park features some of Boulder's finest homes.  Prices vary from $525,000 all the way up...and I do mean all the way up...to $5.9 million.  If you are looking for a luxury home in Boulder, you MUST see a few on the market today.  Some of the most renowned architects have built their masterpieces adjacent to Chautauqua Park.

When you are finished with your hike, you are minutes away from coffee shops, fine dining and even a Whole Foods Market.  If you were true to Boulder culture you rode your bike to Chautauqua Park and the good news is that most of your ride to the next destination will be down hill!

If you are planning a visit to Boulder, Colorado or are one of the few residents that have not visited Chautauqua Park, I highly recommend putting it on your activity list.  After all, spring has sprung and the smells and sounds of nature are bursting around every corner.

Mac and Me  Hi Brandon,  I love the great photos. I have a daughter in Denver going to nursing school and whenever I visit, we head to Boulder for some fabulous hiking, followed by a great meal. I love Colorado, and especially Boulder. Thanks for posting the pics...nice reminder.
