With rain still coming down much of the time, and the temperature in the 50's, how can you tell that it's spring? Because a robin couple has been building their nest right outside of my office window for the past three days. For two days it rained cats & dogs and the two birds brought bunches of moss to the nest area rather sloppily, I thought, but what can you do when everything is dripping? Today the weather was great, although cool, and the interior was finished. Long strands of dried grass was gathered by the momma bird to line the nest.
I took a photo of the nest at the end of the day when they seemed to have finished and were feasting on some creepy crawlies on the lawn.
Yes, spring is here and robins eggs should be arriving any day.
