Cool. I really do need to do some more videos...or ones that feature me somehow. I may start w/ some of the ones where I talk and not seen and then later graduate to whole video. I don't like looking at myself in videos.
Very nice Nyssa! Great post Craig. Her own Youtube Channel too? Oh I have so very much to learn! I'm just figuring out scribe fire! LOL!
Craig, Nyssa is a great example to follow. Thank you for featuring her in your post.
Craig
Thanks for sharing Nyssa and her video. She has clearly taken video to a whole new level - I can see why she has such success with it. I think I need a whole day of instruction on taking and editing videos to the best effect. Any recommendations?
Jeff
Thanks Craig.
Been watching Nyssa's videos, good stuff. Think I will subscribe the next time there. She does use her videos well.
Richard - it is definitely good to look to experience to help us QUICKLY through the learning curve. she's got that!
Nona - let the consumer really meet you, try some time in front of the camera and see what you think
Debbie - that's a good plan
Laura - hmmm, creating a youtube channel, sounds like good craig's classroom material!
Elizabeth - glad you came by - thanks for saying hello
Jeff - are you in vbloggers group? we're a great team over there helping and learning from each other - that would be a big help, I'm sure!!!
Tom - agreed (and your new page layout looks great while I'm thinking of it)
Dear Craig -
Nyssa is very confident!
I must admit - I'd be following Debbie's (#3) lead - putting my toes in first!
Maybe because she works in Fairfield and that's where I used to live!
Have a happy day -
Lynn
PS I love this GOLD STAR idea. L.
PPS I joined the vbloggers! Goodbye comfort zone! L.
Craig,
I listened to her on Jonathan's show as well.
Great stuff!
Love the idea of the "Tuesday Tours" too.
Hello Craig,
That is a very nice exposee of Nyssa's video talent. And I like your reference to "Jonathan Rivera (aka Real-TechGuy) and his weekly internet radio show. (Jonathan also is creator of Real Estate Referral Group on Facebook". I agree, I suggest everyone follow both the Real Estate Referral group, and Johnathan Rivera. Thanks for the mention of vbloggers group, I will definitely check it out.
Thanks for posting Tuesday Tours. She really put a great presentation together. We can all take a few pointers from her.
Craig - this seems like a well deserved Gold Star. My team, Darlene, Marnie and I, are going out this morning for a little road trip in our area with our new video camera in hand. I have not done much with videos and we are going to change that. I plan on showing this post to the team before we start off - as a little inspiration.
Craig -- thanks for sharing Nyssa with us and how she has learned and implemented video into her marketing. Does she do the editing or is that accomplished by an assistant who handles all the video production work for her? I ask as my issue is finding the time to learn the editing process. I handle the website, etc stuff for Robin plus still do some listing and sales in the the small community I live in -- and there just aren't enough hours in the day. Currently I am learning CSS so I can redo the Website I created in Front Page and is now very outdated in content and atrocious Front Page mark up.
I have 2 video cameras and several video editing programs from novice to more advanced. I also have numerous practice videos I want to play with to learn the editing but it must wait until I can get the Website on its way.
I will definitely be following Nyssa's videos on YouTube as she gets it and has it working for her.
Again, thanks for bringing her to my attention and yes, she earned the Gold Star and I'm suggesting this post for others benefit.
Sue of Robin and Sue
Write on Craig. Nyssa is an example of things I need to work on...voice over, good flow of video clips and graphics inclusion.
Craig~I have watched a few of her videos from the challenge that we had a few months ago.... She does a good job of looking completely comfortable there. I keep saying that i am going to get better at this aspect of marketing but have not as of yet....
Thank You Craig for turning me onto Nyssa! I really am going to enjoy her Tuesday Tours Videos!
Craig! Thank you! Wow! I am flattered! Thank you so much! I really appreciate you taking the time to write up this beautiful post! Thank you for watching my videos and sharing my stuff with the world. I most definitely re-blogged this. Thank you!
Richard~ Thank you for following and your nice comments above.
Thank you all for your kind comments. I see a few questions here. I will come back when I have a few extra minutes to answer you.
Warmest regards,
~Nyssa
Craig, I can learn from Nyssa. I need to incorporate video into my marketing in 2011
Lynn - Nyssa does a great job PS - ty! PPS - will be watching! =)
Michele - glad you enjoyed - you have that sony bloggie? how's that going?
Martin - glad to hear - we are assembling a very helpful vbloggers team and learn from each other
Cherie - you can tell by the title she's a regular pro!
Barbara - go get 'em team Hensley - send me youtube private link if you want me to review 'draft'
Melissa - thanks, everybody can do similarly - gold star group looking for new posts!
Sue - she uses iMovie to put the clips together - it is hard to be a master of too many tech things... one thing in vbloggers is we try and keep it realistic, straight-run, no cut video works too, but if you decide to go the edit route, there as some basics that everyone can master. I'm writing my classroom video series on video and will hopefully add more to the series soon! :)
Steve - you guys are both leaders for us... but never stop learning!
Melissa - as Richard Yates says "Practice" and we'll get there!
Sussie - I'm glad to hear that
Nyssa - kudos to you! well done - we look forward to new video posts soon!
Chris - that's a great goal, glad to hear!
Hi craig,
Thanks for highlighting Nyssa.
I found her video warm, but also highly instructive.
Thanks
Phil
No doubt Nyssa really gets it. Video doesn't have to be that hard and she shares so much in this interview that ANYONE who wants to get started is fully equipped with tools and strategies to get on their way.
Thanks a bunch for the shout out - means a lot to me Craig. I'm stoked to know people are listening to the Real-TechGuy Radio show and learning - AND - Hopefully - Implementing ;)
It's been a while since I've visited the AR community - thanks for giving me a reason to come back!
JR
Cindy - it is great to be able to watch others and take away ideas for ourselves, what we like... what we perhaps may do a little different, but that's all part of our uniqueness. I watch Nyssa and takeaway a ton of ideas for video! :)
Phil - glad you got to see - I know you enjoy making video yourself, I need to come visit your channel soon
Jonathan - you are an excellent content creator for us to look to. Your work is valuable and very much appreciated. I'm glad you came back for a visit and I'm very happy that you took a few moments to comment here on Nyssa's post. See you online! -c-

❦ Well done Craig! Nyssa is a one of our favorite VBloggers! So nice of you to give her a shout out!
Just stumbled onto this, and appreciate you recognizing people. Her idea is a great one.
Pamela - we know how good of job she does, I'm glad a few more people now know too! :)
Ken - thanks for visiting, check out our goldstars group if you like this kind of recognizing others post
I'm really feeling the pressure Crag to start video taping my staging work. I swear I'm going to do it and once I do it's like everything else with me - they'll be no stopping me. I getting closer ever day and looking into video recorders this weekend - a step in the right direction at least!
Video is clearly where it's at. If we don't get on board, we'll fall behind. Craig, thanks for all your helpful ideas and examples.
Hi Craig and all the awesome AR bloggers who posted here~ for the video newbies, my best advice is to 'Just Do It'. Just like Nike says, you gotta just DO it! Don't worry if it's not right or not perfect or not the most advanced. We all had to start somewhere. And I look at mine even now and feel I want to get so much better and want to do so much more. And I still feel mine are not perfect...Well, I know they are not perfect... And I see things that I want to make better and better and better. But the fact is, you gotta just start. We all had to start somewhere. Like I mentioned in the interview with Jonathan, I just started it with our Tuesday's out on tour. I shot it off the cuff and threw the video together. As time went on, I learned how to better shoot the footage and how to better say things and how to better edit them. So they have improved over time. But just go out and do it. Get in front of the camera and be silly! :) Don't hold back!
And yes, I just got my hair all chopped off! ;) Someone just asked me that. I love mixing things up and trying a new look. And YES, I got it all on video... so I'll be putting that together and posting it up! :D Donated almost 12" to Locks of Love.
Kristine - (wow sorry for my late reply) - you'll do great when you take the video step - I really look forward to it! :)
Doug - for those that say "I can do that" - I give you props! it is a hard step but a great one I think
Nyssa - I love that advice "do it" !! =)
you don't have to post everything at the start, practice some - replay and consider how to imporove, watch others and learn - go back and do a little better each time you shoot - practice enough to do a good presentation (you don't want to post low quality stuff, rehearse what you are going to say a few times) HOWEVER don't aim for perfection! you'll never post anything at all (or take 100 takes on each go, and nobody has that kind of time!)
the new Nyssa look - nice! - and a great cause too - looking forward to your new video content soon! :)
Craig I nominate Nyssa Smith as a Real Estate Agent who should be featured in Realtor Magazine as a Real Estate Video Expert. I always enjoying watching her Tuesday Tours. Thanks for sharing. Great post.
Craig,
Thanks for sharing her story. I have been on the fence with video although I use iMovie all the time to make my virtual tours. You have me thinking!
