Apparently, I do! I got my new Women's Health & Fitness magazine the other day with the very alluring cover story of "Drop Two Sizes"!

How?

You guessed it, do a triathlon!

SO, in the spirit of what the heck-ness, I have decided to participate in the 7/9/11

Tri Poster

Now, I have 10 weeks almost to the day, have not yet registered, have recruited a friend to train and race with me, and have emailed the Iron Girl in my office for help on what to do, what to buy....so, I'm now being public (yet again) in letting everyone know what I'm up to!

Good for you! You may come out the other end the size of an Olive Oil. The world cup biathlon were fun to watch in Northern Maine this winter where you have to shoot and ski, be good at both.

Best of luck to you Carol. I have participated in several triathlons over the years. They're fun. And the athletes are very supportive of one another. It's not really a competition against each other, it's a competition with yourself. Be sure to do "brick" workouts in your training. That's where you do two of the legs in one training session, ie. bike then run, swim then bike. And do all three together at least ONCE before the race. It's one thing to run, bike, and swim. But doing them back to back to back is different. And if you haven't experienced it you'll be in for a rude awakening the day of the event. Again, best of luck to you.
