Even Woodstock Can Dream Big In Santa Rosa

When I am in Santa Rosa, I love it when I come across a newly discovered Peanuts statue. There are hundreds of them all over town and they tend to take you by surprise when you find a new one.

The four Peanuts characters that have been replicated and uniquely decorated by local artists are (in order) Charlie Brown, Woodstock, Snoopy and Lucy.

Yesterday, I stopped off at Fidelity National Title to drop off an earnest money deposit check. When I pulled into their parking lot, I had to laugh out loud. There was Woodstock "Dreamin' Big" with his pal Snoopy.

Snoopy was in full shade, acting cool. But Woodstock was out in the sun, ready to take flight.

Only in Santa Rosa, California.

* Artist: Craig M. Black

Adorable Cynthia!  I used to have a stuffed one hanging from my VW mirror when I was much younger.  It used to bounce around and impead my view, but I loved it!

Hundreds of them? Who made them, or put up the money to have them made. That one certainly is unique and would brighten up my day if I saw it!

Russel - Charles M. Schulz, the creator of Peanuts, spent his last 40 years in Santa Rosa. The statues are part of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the comic strip. The project is called Peanuts on Parade and has raised over $700,000 in art scholorships.

Ken - I think so too ... I'm a fan of comics.
