CELEBRATE HOOVER DAY 2011
Veterans Park on Valleydale
It's that time again! Come enjoy an afternoon of family fun at Celebrate Hoover Day this Saturday, April 30th from 1:30 until 5:00 at Veterans Park on Valleydale in Hoover. IT'S FREE! There will be live entertainment, food and fun for all ages.
The event will begin with a Veterans Memorial Plaza Dedication Ceremony and a reenactment of the World War II raising of the flag at Iwo Jima.
Kids Zone - games, rides, inflatables, crafts, animal and science exhibits, a DJ, appearances by Dora and Diego, The Backyardigans, the Chick-fil-A Cow and lots more activities!
Appearing on the Main Stage:
2 PM - Spain Park High School Jazz Band
3 PM - Birmingham Bargain Mom (Christine Dedman)
4 PM - Little Leon & The Mudcats
Businesses from Hoover and Shelby County will have over 120 booths at the Exhibitor Pavilion offering give-aways and drawings for prizes. We are giving away an iPad at the Keller Williams booth so be sure to stop by and register to win!
Students from the Jefferson State Culinary & Hospitality Institute are baking a giant apple pie in a 10 foot pan! Come by at 2 PM for a complimentary slice of pie and some ice cream.
There will be plenty of parking at Spain Park High School with shuttle service taking visitors to the park festivities.
