Thankful Thursday: Double Rainbow

Thankful Thursday:  Double Rainbow

double rainbow

The news has been less than pleasant today, as we watch the death toll counter continue to rise to incomprehensible levels as a result of yesterday's devastating storms.
But the rain provides us some solace with this evening's double rainbow (look closely for the 2nd arch portion).  The rainbow is the symbol to us of God's Promises.  While we may not be able to understand His Plan at all times, we have faith that all things happen for a reason.  We are thankful that all we know are safe.

Our prayers are with those who have suffered loss.

Bliz - what a great shot.  Our thoughts and prayers are with all those effected by the storms.  We were lucky that by the time the rains hit here, the storms were not so severe.

Deborah, Every update I read just raises the number higher.  Very saddening.

Leah, We've set a record as rainiest month EVER for Cincinnati, but we've had no serious damage.  To my knowledge, a little property damage here and there,  but no injuries.  All things in perspective, not a bad situation.

Cindy, It is pretty faint, the camera may not have captured just how much was there.  A couple of the Home Depot employees were staring at it as we took our cell phone pix!

Joni, The tremendous loss is hard to believe.  My dad is from Alabama, we lived there for a bit when I was in kindergarten.  I can remember as a kid seeing the tracks of destruction from previous twisters.  It's risky to live there in storm season.  Hopefully they get nothing else like it.

Hi Bliz, Let's be thankful for all of God's promises. The severe weather was a tragedy for all those loss lives. This is a nice photo with the double rainbows. Our prayers are for the families who suffered during those storms.

Peggy, We needed the reminder yesterday.

Jerry, We had a tornado come through near where I work about 10+ years ago, and it must have been small compared to the one's hitting the South this week.  I consider us blessed that they're so rare for our area.

Roger, Not too many photo opportunities like this for us, glad to be able to capture it.

Jackie, It indeed is tragic.

Joan, To the best of my knowledge, no one we knows was affected any worse than power outage.  We're thankful for that.

Great job on catching the elusive double rainbow.  Some people never see the beauty just after the rain…
