Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden
When Dolores and I visit Richmond, Virginia, we are usually there to see exhibits at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. On Good Friday, we toured the Picasso exhibit Picasso: Masterpieces from the Musée National Picasso, Paris and other special exhibits at VMFA.
On Saturday, we went to the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden to see the orchid exhibit and tour the gardens. http://www.lewisginter.org/ "Tulips are still star of the show in April and more than 11,000 are featured. These include 3,000 inside the Conservatory, 2,000 in outdoor containers and 6,000 in ground displays. Companions to the tulips are tens of thousands of daffodils."
We highly recommend both of these destinations when you are in the Richmond area.
