Kiss Me Kate - Watching the Royal Wedding

Kiss Me Kate - Watching the Royal Wedding!  I have to admit that I got up at 2 a.m. Colorado time to watch this historical event.  As the invited guests arrived at Wesminster Abbey, we were able to glimpse all of the wedding finery, especially the hats.  And I mean HATS!  Colorful, elegant, outrageous and some downright ugly.

Catherine was absolutely regal as she walked down the aisle to marry her prince. Her smile lit up the entire cathedral.  After the ceremony, the crowd gathered outside Buckingham Palace for the traditional "First Kiss."

Like you, I got up to watch, too.    Was 1 a.m. my time...glad to have watched it in "real time", though, as the later "quick version" didn't have the "feel" of the actual.

Hi Emelyn ~ I didn't get to bed until after 1 am but was up (actually still in bed with the TV on) at 4 am to start watching. Awesome, awesome, awesome.  I can't believe that some people chose not to get up - there is simply no comparison to watching it unfold.  It was truly perfection.  I hadn't been hyped about it before but am so happy I didn't miss it.  I think Kate is going to be every bit as popular as Will's mother.
