March 2011 home sales trends are out for Livingston Parish and it was a good month for real estate sales.
There were 109 homes sold in March 2011 as compared with 96 sold during March 2011. Year to date there have been 250 homes sold versus 260 homes sold during the same time period in 2010.
The average slaes price was $160,000 and 93 of the 109 homes sold were priced at less than $199,999.
There are 813 homes available for sale which equates to about a 7.5 month supply.
If you are contemplating buying a home in the Baton Rouge area and/or Livingston Parish, it is still a great time. Interest rates are very good and there is plenty of available inventory to choose from.
