Exciting! I love weddings. i'd say pick a place that they connect with  because of a special memory, even if it's a restaurant they love where you can rent it out and bring in a dance floor. The important part is the guests, they will make do with where ever the venue is located. Have a wonderful celebration!

Karen and Frank - congratulations! Is this your only child? This must be so exciting. I wish I could be of more help, but I don't know NJ to give you any advice - ask your son and his fiancee. I'm sure your future daughter-in-law has many ideas about the wedding. Keep us posted.

Frank & Karen - What fun & exciting news for all of you.  What a beautiful couple!  I don't know the Boston area at all, but Rog & I chartered a double decker party boat, took a cruise out to a place called Barefoot Beach (everyone was barefoot), got married at sunset, then hopped back on the boat for the reception.  The Boat Captain took care of everything...Cake, Food, wait staff, Steel Drum Band, Rum Punch, Champagne....All I had to do was buy a dress and send out invitations.

Whatever they decided to do....I know it will be just wonderful for everyone....Best of luck!

Congratulations!  Planning a wedding can be so much fun.  I like the idea of getting married on the beach or a yacht.  Years ago, friends of mine got married at a rustic mansion in the woods and dinner was served out by the pool...........another great idea.
