Something To Tweet About In Santa Fe? Snow!

What is there to tweet about tonight on this first night in May? It is snowing in Santa Fe, New Mexico, that's what! Of course, we are the city different. Plus, it was only 83 degrees 48 hours ago. And that was the day I packed away my sweaters for next winter! I think the moral of the story is Mother Nature has her own calendar and sometimes it is wildly unexpected especially in Santa Fe in our 401st year. I remember when it snowed here in April 2009. Now, it's May 2011! Could this be a trend? Perhaps, it's a dream. In any event, it is something to tweet about tonight.

Just another reason why I love Santa Fe or for you to follow me on Twitter.

OK< that is crazy! I am here in Central Texas (Austin) and we were supposed to get a crazy thunderstorm tonight, but all we got were high, cooling winds. Enjoy!

Chuck, weather like life happens...

Lindsay, sometimes snow gives us a new way to see and say things... even in May!

Steven, I think you'll got some of this snow somewhere in Colorado today. After all we are neighbors.

Susan, thank you! Now it's time for hot chocolate!

Yeah, the kids were incredibly upset. Kind of funny though! They want the 'pretty summer' to come.

Loved your post Emily. Our Sedona weather is changeable much like your Santa Fe weather, only not quite so cold or so much snow. Still, Santa Fe is quite beautiful in the snow. I have happy memories of afternoon tea at the St Francis on the plaza in the snow.

Lindsey, most folks I know over 5 are bewildered!

Alexandra, it appears Mother Nature shuffling her deck of possibilties. Santa Fe has several climate zones and driving home late yesterday afternoon I went from 41 degrees to 31 degrees in 7 minutes according to my car temperature. All amazing!

Beth, thank you! I have memories of seeing Santa on horseback riding along Main Street there from a visit during Christmas...made in Sedona!

Rob, the snow is here this morning still like icing on a cake. Yet I have a photo shoot for spring pictures on two new listings...yikes!

Barbara, I think I am back in New England right now!

Actually, I remember one year we had a freak storm here in Sedona and it snowed on MOTHER'S DAY! It was gone a few hours later, but that was definitely pretty weird.

Virginia, well the sun came out the next day and melted the snow away!

Beth, it appears our Southwest weather tends to be unique when it comes to spring. This is not a bad trade off for all the other wonders we share in communities.

Silvia, thank you! The bird just looks real thanks to a very talented artist.

Robert, to my knowledge this raven can not fly (yet) as he/she is sculpture tribute to our many ravens.
