As I watched the news of Osama Bin Laden's demise last night through the dedication and hard work of our intelligence and military personnel, I couldn't help but smile when I heard that real estate valuation was used as a point to assist in identifying what might have been the possible location of the head of Al Quaeda.
It was mentioned that questions arose over the supposed value of the compound as $1M and yet there was the absence of internet service-obviously something to raise red flags.
And, while there was certainly much intelligence work that went into this operation, it was interesting that the value of the real estate was part of the equation and intelligence gathering.
