3rd Annual “RED Day” Set to Lend a Hand in Madison, WI

Madison, WI —May 12, 2011— Keller Williams Realty associates may be taking the day off on Thursday, May 12, 2011, but it will hardly be a day of rest. Associates with the Keller Williams Madison East & West offices have chosen to “Give Where They Live” as part of RED Day, one of the biggest events in the real estate industry.

Short for “Renew, Energize and Donate,” RED Day was created to unite Keller Williams Realty offices and associates in an international day of service.

As part of the RED Day effort, Keller Williams Madison East & Keller Williams Madison West has chosen to spend the day with The Road Home of Dane County at 128 Olin Ave, Madison WI from 1:00pm – 7:00pm.  The Road Home of Dane County (formerly known as IHN) serves homeless families with children in collaboration with local faith communities and organizations.  They are committed to the empowerment and long-term success of children and families, to serving each family with dignity and respect and to achieving results in helping families improve their lives.  They welcome the entire community, in all its diversity, to participate in the pursuit of safe, affordable housing for all.

 “This event is an entrenched part of Keller Williams Realty’s culture and displays the extraordinary effect a company can have when individuals come together to work as a team for the greater good of everyone.,” said Team Leaders, Brett Boettge & Jessica Fox.  “Last year, we spent the day donating supplies, cleaning and gardening for the Women’s Abuse Shelter in Dane County. We can’t tell you what an impact it made on each of us personally-it felt so great to give back to the community we know and love.”

During RED Day 2010, over 35,000 Keller Williams associates participated in activities ranging from food and blood drives to cleaning up trash in public parks, doing yard work for neighbors in need or revamping gardens at nursing homes totaling more than 150,000 hours of service making RED Day one of the biggest events in the real estate industry.
