Social Media Site, Home Elephant, Helps Real Estate Pros Engage with the Community

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with The DotLoop Company

There is this new social media site that connects neighborhood residents called Home Elephant™.  Currently in its beta phase, it acts as a local hub for neighborhood residents to interact and share information with each other about events, alerts and notices; which could prove beneficial for real estate professionals.

Real estate professionals can use information obtained from Home Elephant™ to create online visibility and credibility as the expert in real estate for that neighborhood.  Additionally, there is great lead information like names, email addresses and contacts for the residents.  On event pages, one has the ability to market online to prospective sellers by advertising listings and open houses.

Remember, with social media the idea is to be involved and engaged, rather than simply seeking a commission. The benefit of using this type of social media is share your ideas and concepts about the local market, and is an easy way to get connected to the neighborhood.  Home Elephant™ creates an opportunity to contribute to the well being of the community by being a trusted resource.

Users create a sense of community with online neighborhood watch programs, report lost and found items and incorporate community bulletin boards for members to leave comments or notify others of upcoming events.

The beauty is that this is a great tool to get to know your neighbors beyond just looking over the fence to see what kind of grill they have or the new car they bought.  Home Elephant™ is free for anyone to register. By going to www.homeelephant.com, new users are asked to register with an existing facebook account.

Also, Home Elephant™ is iPhone, iPad and Android friendly, making it an effective app for community engagement. Therefore, real estate professionals can reap serious benefits by using Home Elephant™ to connect with prospective clients.  However, these professionals go beyond trying to sell by actively engaging with the community and keeping its well being as a top priority.

This looks interesting - if you can get neighbors to sign up and check regularly, it might be fun.

Hmmmmmmmmm

Is this a company you are starting?

Or is it a free promo of a product you think is interesting?

I will check it out to see...

It's not a company we're starting.  It's simply something that we've stumbled upon that seems like an innovative concept.  Essentially it takes the neighborhood you live and transposes it to the virtual world.

Thank you both for reading, we always appreciate feedback.
