Your market kicks the others down to the minor leagues!  Wowwww!  Entertainment?  Wine tasting?  We just get a few stands, and still a bit early for that!

Donne - what started out as a downtown farmers market has turned into a weelky street fair. I just love it when they close down a major street to have a party.

Roger - this event draws from 8,000 to 10,000 people every Wednesday night. Quite a boon for the vendors and Santa Rosa as well.

BLiz - this County knows how to party and have a good time. Our weather lets us play outdoors sooner than others. We are hitting 80 degrees this week.

Less boob tube and more healthy fresh fruits and wine. This is definitely a very winning combination Cynthia. If I lived in your area I know where I would be on Wednesday nights. I'm looking forward to our local markets starting up here as well.

Cynthia, MORE rain here, and I was breathing steam at the back door last night.  Dropping back to around 50 for some strange reason.

Even if we had something like that in Sacramento, which we don't -- I think the closest thing is the Farmer's Market on Sunday and no wine there -- my husband often has to work late on Wednesdays. The news business is weird. Doesn't matter which paper you work for, Wednesdays are often late nights. But I would love to go otherwise.

Cynthia, I find farmers markets to be enticing no matter what day of the week they may fall. I love fresh vegetables and flowers...

Malcolm - it's a farmers market and street fair combined, lots of yummy food!

BLiz - oh no, I'm waiting for it to cool down so I can go outside and mow my green lawn :)

Elizabeth - I think Sacto is probably too big to do something like this. 4th Street (the coolest street) in Santa Rosa is actually closed to traffic every Wednesday night for this event. That would be a nightmare over there!

Paul - it's nice to see all of the fresh vegetables and fruits from local farmers. It doesn't get any better than that.

How interesting in terms of marketing that it might be if the Wednesday Night Market was on, say, Saturday night!
