I just realized I never provided a happy link for my newly opened Tea and Books Group. So for all you book lovers out there here is your chance to come unwind and relax after a hard days work! Don't forget our rule though, NO WORK ALLOWED. Just have fun and get away from the office for a little while; yes i know this may be much to ask as most of you practically live there, but do try! *here's the link*

Shellee, I see you have a Harry Potter book there. I am just re-reading them starting at book 1. They are making so much sense now. I am so glad she was able to get the series finished and I loved how she tied it all together. My favorite author Robert Jordan died before his last book was done.

Marchel- coincidentally, if terribly unfortunate, my favorite author Patrick O'brian passed away before finishing his series of novels the Aubrey/Maturin series. The series can be read as a fleuve or continuation from one to the other and sense there are twenty complete novels it is a great disappointment to be left without an ending.

Shellee, you know exactly how I feel then. The Wheel of Time has 11 books and I re-read them all and was finishing book 11 when my daughter called to give me the sad news that my favorite author had passed away. I do also love the Harry Potter books though. Have you read the Chronicles of Narnia. I know they are children books but I have read the series 4 times. Two times I read them to my children as they were growing up and then re-read them two more times. The last time was before the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe came out.

Marchel- I have not read the Chronicles or indeed anything by CS lewis witch is perhaps strange being that I have read so much Tolkien. It is in the cards however, because I intend to read the Chronicles to my little one once she is old enough to appreciate them. I am a Potter addict and make no apologies for it! I think they are very well written and extremely imaginative. I was thinking of opening up a discussion blog in the Tea and Books group! I was just kind of waiting until we got a few more members interested but perhaps I could start sooner than later.

Hi Shellee - Great group. I will join. Stephen King's "The Dark Tower" series is the most compelling thing I've ever read. I also just finished Cormac McCarthy's "The Road" and was tremendously moved by it.
